In its 25th Anniversary year, the Japanese streetwear powerhouse has been busy.
Bape is certainly known as a brand that likes to drop often and keep their name on people’s lips.
This week the brand unveiled a new branded Bape Formula One car at the Shanghai Grand Prix, a multi-camo hoodie and kids block camo offering.
Fresh on the heels of those releases, the brand is dropping a new capsule next week with Adidas Originals and Japanese streetwear brand, Neighborhood.
The new Bape x Neighborhood x Adidas capsule includes two very different military-inspired additions: the Adidas POD S3.1 and NMD STLT.
The POD S3.1 will unite the Three Stripe’s heritage with the latest Japanese design with neoprene upper displaying the Ape head and the Neighborhood signature crossbones. The midsole features a three-component ‘POD System’ with the trademark Boost cushioning inside the heel. The silhouette features BAPE’s Shark Face motif on the lateral sides. NMD STLT
The midcut NMD STLT is military and hip-hop inspired with a classic white Boost midsole and black camo sock-like Primeknit upper. The upper features a co-designed pattern offset by a flash of yellow lightning. “BAPE,” “NBHD” and “東京” (Tokyo) appear on the tongue and heel tab. The three-way collaboration will be released on April the 19th.
