BLACKMERLE has dropped its FW19 Collection, a futuristic almost dystopian collection that reworks some cornerstone military classics like the bomber jacket.
BLACKMERLE literally means “a dark-coated dog with irregular streaks and speckles.”
The Vancouver-based brand is the brainchild of Terry Shin, a designer, stylist, and creative director from Korea.
A contemporary and warcore tough label, BLACKMERLE has a design ethos of true individualism and a core philosophy of “know thyself”.
The label has just released a thoroughly contemporary take on the bomber jacket, the Black Hooded Bomber with a convertible nylon version that can convert into a messenger bag.
As a bag, the bomber features an adjustable shoulder strap and large pockets that draw inspiration from the signature MA-1 bomber pen pocket.
The jacket remains practical and warm with Sherpa lining and a detachable hood. Gunmetal hardware, zippered detailing and press-stud detailing complete the look.

The bomber jacket forms part of the BLACKMERLE FW19 Collection, which includes the Taupe Camo Jacket, Black Tech Hooded Jacket, Black Shirt Jacket, Black Hooded Bomber and Black Shirt Jacket pictured below in consecutive order.
The BLACKMERLE FW19 Collection is only available at SSENSE.
