HAVEN drops dual editorial featuring WTAPS and NEIGHBORHOOD

HAVEN is one of the leading destinations for military-inspired street fashion. Their latest editorial highlights the most recent FW19 collections from the two iconic Tokyo-based street fashion brands.

NEIGHBORHOOD is a Japanese streetwear brand founded in 1994 by Shinsuke Takizawa, which is not considered one of the most influential brands in streetwear.

Few brands can match the reputation of NEIGHBORHOOD; one that can however is WTAPS, founded by Tetsu Nishiyama.

WTAPS apparel is designed in keeping with the philosophy of skilled traditional Japanese carpenters called 'Miya-Daiku', who use every scrap of wood with no waste.

The two iconic brands are also known for their frequent collaborations and for a love of the military aesthetic in their designs.

Both began in the early 90s and became key figures in the legendary Ura-Harajuku movement.

Both labels worked closely alongside other influential designers, including NIGO® and Jun Takahashi, to develop subversive, cult classic collections.
