For AW19, maharishi has dropped disruptive print, “Chacruna Forest" that blends elements of Belgian and U.S. Tigerstripe, with a Cuban twist.
maharishi is a brand known for its love of rocking the military aesthetic in its designs.
For AW19, the British label has dropped a unique take on the camo print, with “Chacruna Forest, a pattern that blends elements of Belgian and U.S. Tigerstripe.
The background of the pattern is inspired by Cuba’s ‘Elm Leaf’ camo but with chacruna leaf and ayahuasca vines replacing the usual elm leaf . Chacruna leaves and ayahuasca vines are the ingredients used to make the brew more commonly known simply as ‘ayahuasca’, the revered psychedelic South American plant-based medicine.
The pattern is hand-screen printed on 100% organic Japanese cotton woven and knits, across a range of silhouettes from cargo smocks, trackpants, sweatshirts, caps and masks.
Also included in the drop is a collection of jackets, camo barboutas, and T-shirts.
