Japanese womenswear label HYKE and outwear powerhouse, The North Face, have previewed their hotly anticipated collaboration for Fall/Winter 2019 at Tokyo Fashion Week.
Led by designers Hideaki Yoshihara and Yukiko Ode, HYKE enjoys a viral following in Japan with fans drawn to the label’s militaresque plaid color palettes and bold simplistic style.
Following a recent collaboration in January, the brands have reunited once again in a unisex collection combining HYKE’s simple and clean aesthetic, with The North Face Gore-Tex accessories and high-visibility branding.
Included in the collection are oversize mountain parkas, ponchos, oversized fleece and snoods in typically muted khaki, black and navy tones.
Hyke and The North Face collaborated in January for the existing SS 2019 collection (seen below), an expansive offering of minimilistic, military-inspired apparel.
