Nike has taken the classic military flight jacket as inspiration behind the release of not one but two, quilted Air Force 1s.
The latest iteration of arguably Nike’s most iconic silhouette is a decidedly military makeover that takes style cues from the classic MA-1 bomber jackets known for their quilted design and luminous orange linings.
The MA-1 bomber jacket military theme appeared first in the infamous Air Jordan 4 collaboration with UNDEFEATED, before being rolled out to a range of silhouettes.
In this new pack, an olive nylon Nike Air Force 1 low will debut first followed by a gold edition with the same quality features.
Both colorways feature quilting reminiscent of the inside lining of a classic bomber jacket.
Little details like ballistic nylon tongue and military style print add to the overall look.
The upper also showcases the surplus style, with traditional smooth leather being replaced with an inverted label and toned satin.
The dark gum sole offsets the glossy satin to complete the look. Check out the two colorways in the gallery below.
Expect both colorways to hit Nike retailers in the coming weeks.
