Vintage Style WW2 1944 USMC P44 Sniper & Scout HBT Camouflage Jacket
The experience gained in the Battle of Tarawa has changed the design of the Marine Corps battle suit.
In March 1944, the officially adopted the new style P-44 set (monochrome) and a new camouflage combat set was also designed.
The camouflage top is very similar to the P42 but the small pocket on the left chest has been removed along with the USMC ink mark.
The placket consists of four buttons including internal buttons for secure fastening and if required the jacket can be reversed.
Originally, scouts and snipers wore this jacket, although there were still many shortcomings (such as fabric fading after washing).
US Marines wore the P-44 camouflage uniform during the Korean War and the early Vietnam War.
